Alan Bennett, About Photographer - Media Imaging Solutions

After 16 years in Sydney, Alan Bennett recently relocated to Norwich to enjoy the beauty of East Anglia. He has been actively involved within photography and television for over 15 years. In Sydney Alan worked for SBS TV in their studios and on location before going freelance in 2006, where he did location sound recording for the Australian and American ABC networks. Alan began exhibiting his photography back in 1995 and won various awards through the Australian photography industry bodies: the A.I.P.P. and A.C.M.P. In 1997, he was awarded the 'Nikon/Panorama Showcase Photographer of the Year' for his portfolio of ten images. In 2006 he received two nominations in the international Black and White Spider Awards for fine art and sport. Alan has recently become a qualified member in the wedding category of The Guild of Photographers after submitting a portfolio of work to the Guild's judging panel. In 2008 Alan took part in a weeks long photo workshop in London, taught by two Magnum Agency photographers. He was one of 14 chosen from 130 photographers that supplied portfolios.
